What is Worry?
'I'm a worrier' is a phrase I have heard a lot from many different people. I always wondered what that meant.
We aren't born worriers, so when do we become worriers? Is it learned, or is there something inside us that makes it part of our personality?
I developed The Worry Workshop during my PhD as a way to teach people about worry. Worry is a huge part of our lives, and it is so normalised, people don't understand the impact it has on our day-to-day health.
The Worry Workshop takes people on a journey through psychology and mental health, starting with the theory behind worry and why we do it, and moving onto practical exercises that can be used to battle and conquer worry.
